Sometimes, It's Just Black and White

Thank you all for visiting my blog, and talking to me about the Deneuve tunic.  I know how precious time is, and always appreciate your comments.  I'm anxious to make another one and have several fabrics in the stash that are perfect for it.

I've wanted a black/white stripe Tshirt since spring.  Or before.  When I saw this pattern envelope drawing at the HotPatterns website, I started looking for black/white stripe knit.  Now that spring and most of summer has passed,  I finally got around to making it.  I'm into fall sewing, so I lengthened the sleeves to 3/4 length, and added a cuff.  Reminds me of "Jail House Rock"!

I whipped up this one too, for the end of summer.  Doesn't look so good on the floor!

Like everyone else, there's so many projects in my queue, I can't decide what to do next.  Really, if I would clean out the clothes closets, it would be easier to decide what to prioritize.  It's so much easier just to keep jamming things together!

Have a great Mad Men night!

Well, I like your jail house rock. I pulled out a black & white knit that I want to make a top out of. I bought it back in March and just can't seem to get around to it. Maybe I'll do long sleeves like you did, because even though it's still in the high 90's here fall is inevitable.

I like your black and white top, where did you find the knit?

Love it, and the one on the floor too.

I was looking for a good black and white striped knit. I love the look of the neckline, definitely another winner.

That neckband rocks, in a totally jailhouse kind of way!
(really, I love that neckline!!)

I always love everything you make! You really know yourself! I think that's why I don't sew for myself, I don't know what I look good in or even what I like for myself.

I was seized with the sudden urge to clean some things out of my closet last night! Everything is still jammed in there though...

I love your black and white t-shirt - it's a great look!

I added a black and white strip knit dress to my wardrobe this winter and I was surprised how much I have worn it. I love the way you've cut the neckline. I think I need this pattern, it's such a great style for casual clothing. I have so many things I want to sew that I find myself incapable of actually sewing anything.

I join the neckline lovers. You also inspired me with this striped knit for the Vogue dress I may attempt next - it's an aqua stripe. But I'm with you, there are so many things in line and summer's almost over...

Lovely tops. I purchased some stripe knit that's waiting to be sewn. I purge my closest often... its the only way get more clothes in there.

These are great staples that will compliment your wardrobe. I'm starting to "think" fall wardrobe too. I look forward to seeing your fall collection.

I bet you will reach for these time and again! Great wardrobe builders :)

Love the tops.

I cleaned out my closet a couple years ago and am slowly building it back up. The only way to do it is with ruthless abandon. Only keep enough so you don't have to go around naked then add pieces to replace what you threw out. Then throw out the rest.

I kept one blazer with a equestrian look to it. It is back in style this fall. I will have to look for pants to go with it and make a top. That will be my one trendy outfit for this fall.
