Fitting Finished

Here's the muslin of S2701 on my daughter. Good fit. This jacket meets at CF with a loop closure. Pleat at CB.

There aren't a lot of fitting issues with this jacket. It's fairly straight and has about 5" ease in the bust, 3" at the hip. I fit her shoulders and decided the ease I wanted in the body and made it to those specs. The pattern calls for either short sleeves or 3/4 length. I'm lengthening the sleeves to her wrist. Other than that, it's pretty straight forward.

I should get the fabric that's ordered from Hancock this week. If the fabric turns out to be the what I'm hoping, I can get going on this. Have to check my lining stash see what I have. This jacket is supposed to be unlined, but I will put one in this jacket.

I also did a couple of mending jobs--bore!

Happy Sunday!

It is shaping up to be a wonderful jacket. Cannot wait to see the end result with the material.
