Jacket Progress

Gray jacket is ready for finishing.   It needed more embellishment on the right front and left sleeve.  There was too much blank space.  This is one time when more is better.  I got another spool of decorative thread and embellished with stitches only--no applique.  I added some details to the flowers with hand embroidery.

After much pulling of hair, and trying different buttons and closure options, I decided on Frogs.   I think they are perfect for this jacket.  However, I only have two, so I'll have to go Frog shopping.

Here's the front.

Close up of both fronts

And the back.

That's where I am.   I've made a lining pattern, and hope to get started on that tomorrow.

Good sewing to you this weekend!

I really like the small red flowers, they are just the right thing. Frogs look good too. Am looking forward to the finished jacket.

Gwen, it's absolutely gorgeous! Wow, I mean... Wow. Good luck with the final details, but you certainly don't need it!
