It's a Done Deal !!

The gray wool felted jacket,  heavily appliqued, is finished.  Yay!

I added a modesty panel on the left front, and attached frog closures.  I can see I need to add a snap below the last frog to keep that area closed.

I had a good time making this jacket.   It's the kind of creative sewing that I love to do.

Have a great weekend, sewing, and otherwise!

Gwen, I love your jacket. I would feel very lucky and very smug if I could be standing in a line and have people wonder where or how my jacket came to be. Thank you for being a wonderful inspiration. I also want to thank you for your shoulder pad tutorial. I missed that when you posted it, but I want to be able to do that also.

Amazing, Fantastic, Gorgeous, Beautiful, Etc..... I cannot really come up with an adjective that describes how I feel about this jacket. I can't wait to do another felted project. I have a bunch of sweaters and a blazer that are felted and ready to be made into something. Gotta get Easter done first.

Gwen, I wanted to add my compliments to the many well deserved ones you have already received. The embellishment is so well done; the layout compliments the style of the jacket, the colors are eye catching without being garish, and hand sewing is beautiful. I just love this jacket! I also chuckle every time I see the Big Girl Panty sign in the background of your photos.
