FO Photo

I wore this new short-sleeve jacket today.  It's casual and comfortable.  I enjoyed wearing it.

It is M5941.  I will make it again, maybe in a suitable spring fabric.

I bought gray lining and gray trim, but I don't know that I'm particularly satisfied with the trim.  Still, I can continue on the jacket as soon as I can get back in my sewing room .  I want the trim to go around the edges of the jacket, and make button loops with covered buttons.

Waiting for the snow storm to hit MI tomorrow.  I have plenty of sewing lined up if I can't get out!

I really like your jacket. The red trims really set it off. You will get alot of wear out of it.

I love the red trim and buttons too. Red and houndstooth is such a winning combination. I'm just as amazed with your well lit sewing space and that gorgeous great big mirror.

Great jacket, no surprise from you, though! Was thinking of you a few weeks ago when I saw the fire on your island! Hope all is well, and that we survive our first big storm! (snow day, snow day, snow day...)

As others have said, the red trim looks amazing on this jacket. It looks great on you! I like action shots so much better than pictures of the garments by themselves.

It's so cute. You look amazing. And I love your hair, by the way.

The red trim and buttons really make it pop.

I had to go and look that one up. I love your fabric/trim combination. I also like the pattern. The body has an extra layer but the arms are free.

The jacket looks great, Gwen. Aren't snow storms great for our sewing addiction?

I truly love this jacket!!! They are saying we might get a little snow, too, but with all the rain we've been getting I can't imagine that it will lay. We could go swimming in our back yard!!

The jacket looks very good, and nicely detailed. Is the trim piping...it looks like it is, but I can't tell for sure. Have you thought about making your own piping and then that way you could make cording from the same fabric, and stick it in when you sew in the piping to make the loops. Just an idea.

I really like the off centred closure, and the trim.

Love the red detailing on this jacket. I have this pattern too and plan to make it up soon. Thanks for the inspiration. The snowstorm has hit the midwest. I've been working from home instead of in the office. Wish I was sewing instead.

Look forward to your next version of the jacket.
